Initial Briefing
We will meet with you to discuss your organisation, culture, structure, objectives and person specification. We will review the budget for the salary and fine tune your position / job description, discuss recruitment fees and options, and agree on a timeline for the recruitment process. This is a critical step and will help us identify the right person for your organisation.
Recruitment Strategy
Information gained from the initial briefing will enable us to determine the most appropriate and cost effective method to source the ideal candidate. We may utilise a number of methods including:
- Advertised Selection: This will vary depending on the opportunity and your requirements. Methods may include: local press, national press, specialist journals, web based employment boards and social media. We will work in collaboration with you to determine the best approach and mix.
- Database Search: Avant Personnel has a comprehensive database comprising high calibre candidates and applicants that have been screened, interviewed, skills tested and reference checked. Many individuals have only registered with us allowing our clients exclusive access to high-calibre individuals who are often not available via other sources. Although highly effective for generalist roles a database search does not offer the same benefits of a full campaign.
Advertising Strategy
Our marketing and advertising team will work in collaboration with you to design a cost effective and results driven advertising campaign. The team will manage all aspects of your strategy from design, artwork and copy development through to media liaison and purchasing.
Interviewing
Through the initial briefing our experienced recruitment consultants are able to assess applicants based on a thorough understanding of your requirements. Our RCSA qualified recruitment consultants will conduct a comprehensive interview to determine the applicant’s skill set, competencies and cultural fit with your organisation. Avant Personnel will be assessing and measuring each applicant on the criteria established in collaboration with you in the initial briefing.
Shortlist Matrix
For permanent placements your consultant will provide timely and comprehensive matrix reports to keep you apprised of the applicant response and recruitment process as a whole.
Reference Checking
All reference checks are undertaken in accordance with stringent Quality and Privacy Standards. Each candidate is required to provide a minimum of two referees. The findings of the reference checks will be presented to you in report format and will provide a clear, concise, objective and non-biased summary of the applicant’s strengths and weaknesses.
Offer Management
Throughout the recruitment process our consultants gain a detailed understanding of the applicant’s psyche, behavioural / career drivers and financial expectations. We can then leverage this knowledge to ensure the required results are obtained. Avant Personnel can manage the following:
- offer negotiation/acceptance
- agreement on start date
- contract preparation
- signing process.
